Gov. Mark Sanford addresses 3,000 soldiers from the 218th Brigade of the National Guard as they stand in formation on the field at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday afternoon. 1,800 of the brigades soldiers will deploy to Afghanistan, and the remainder will deploy to the Mexican border, later on this year.
