Beef up your Google account using Google’s two-step verification

Amidst all the talk of recent hacks, I decided that it would be time to use Google’s new two-step verification process for my account.

Using Google’s new two-step process will make it harder to access your account if someone guesses or tries to steal your password. This extra layer of security prevents someone from completely hijacking your account.

In my presentation last night to Social Media Columbia, I discussed how bloggers can legally choose images for their sites. We also discussed the best options for hosting content, ie: self hosting, using a Content Delivery Network, Amazon’s S3 buckets or a third party service such as flickr.
